If the position of the Chairman becomes vacant for any reason, if he is unable to perform his duties as per Article 101 (6) of the Constitution, if he goes on a foreign visit or is on leave for more than seven days, the most senior member of the Commission shall act as the Acting Chairman of the Commission.
